Given Tamaqua's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Pottsville is ranked 512th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Kolbe Robb, who scored nine points along with ten steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Lauren Ligenza, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Tamaqua's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Pottsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Tamaqua will be playing at home against Tri-Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Valley is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Pottsville, they will head out on the road to take on Jim Thorpe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
