The Mountain House Mustangs waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ceres 58-26 at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Mountain House had established a 30 point advantage.
Mountain House's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jariah Indalecio led the charge by scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Niaja Harris, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Ceres saw an underclassman step up: Arrayah Stallworth dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Stallworth is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played.
Ceres struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Mountain House racked up 11 assists.
Mountain House has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Ceres, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Mountain House will head out on the road to face off against Grace Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Davis is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Ceres, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
