Even though Norristown scored an imposing 62 points on Thursday, Perkiomen Valley still came out on top. Perkiomen Valley took their match against Norristown 75-62. Given Perkiomen Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Norristown is ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Perkiomen Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Miley, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Miley scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Grace Galbavy, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Pottsgrove came up short against Upper Perkiomen on Thursday and fell 41-32.
Perkiomen Valley's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Pottsgrove, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Perkiomen Valley against Pottsgrove in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as the team secured a 71-13 victory. With Perkiomen Valley ahead 44-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
