De La Salle extended their postseason success on Friday against Petaluma. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans  a   15-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Roman Bartosh tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Antonio Castro was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Brandon Vargas also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
 De La Salle  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .625. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
De La Salle's victory was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 24-4. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Petaluma, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
As of now, neither De La Salle nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
