This season hasn't been kind to the Oroville Tigers, who are still winless after their seventh game. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 52-38 to Lassen. Oroville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lassen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.
Oroville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Leila Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jackson scored a full 34.2% of Oroville's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rachel Bone, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Oroville's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Lassen, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Oroville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against CORE Butte at 8:30 p.m. on December 9th. CORE Butte is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Lassen is on the road again on Saturday and play against Las Plumas at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th.
