The Wilson Mules will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Wilson is ranked 818th, while Lincoln is ranked 828th).
On Wednesday, Wilson's game was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Bravo. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wilson.
Wilson found their leader in underclassman Anniyah H, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points H has scored all season. Dailyn M was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marshall.
Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Lincoln, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.
Wilson won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting on January 10th, slipping by Lincoln 24-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
