Even though the North Canyon Rattlers scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, the Paradise Valley Trojans still came out on top. Paradise Valley took down North Canyon 50-34. Paradise Valley pushed the score to 43-20 by the end of the third, a deficit North Canyon cut but never quite recovered from.
Paradise Valley was led to victory by Elantae Fleming and Charlie LeVinus. Fleming picked up 123 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while LeVinus threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Petar Milosavljvich did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
North Canyon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Atchue, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 50 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Serrano, who picked up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Paradise Valley pushed their record up to 5-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for North Canyon, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Paradise Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Canyon also has no future games currently scheduled.
