Eaton put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Meeker Cowboys get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Kenzie Braddy, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Meeker off the board. Braddy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Eaton let Emma Anderson and Bria Foster run wild. Anderson went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Foster got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Foster has snagged this season. Rayelle Navarro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Eaton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive games.
Eaton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Meeker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Eaton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against La Junta on the 18th. Meeker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
