Softball Recap: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Wins Going Away Against Coretta Scott King YWLA

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Coretta Scott King YWLA Soaring Eagle. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jaiden Stokes and Tyreonna Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Stokes went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Johnson got on base in two of her three plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Stokes has posted since back in August of 2024. Zaniyah Dais was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coretta Scott King YWLA only posted an OBP of .500.

The win got KIPP Atlanta Collegiate back to even at 2-2. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
