After flying high against the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros last Wednesday, the Los Amigos Lobos came back down to earth. Los Amigos took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loara on Friday. Los Amigos has not had much luck with Loara recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading Loara to victory were Sophia Rangel and Laila Walker. Rangel scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Walker dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Celine Tran, who scored five points along with three steals.
Los Amigos' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Loara, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.
Los Amigos will head out on the road to face off against Bolsa Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolsa Grande is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home. Loara will take on Santiago at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
