The North Forney Falcons will square off against the Cedar Hill Longhorns at TBD on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, North Forney rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Garland. The win was just what North Forney needed coming off of a 31-10 defeat in their prior matchup.
North Forney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kellen Sanders, who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Cedar Hill put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Weiss 62-0 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Cedar Hill who now have three in a row.
Cedar Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Edwards led the charge by rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayshun Reese, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.
North Forney's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Cedar Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
