When it comes to explaining why Plumas Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liz Trail. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trail has scored all season.
Loyalton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophie Holland, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Holland is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Petterson, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Plumas Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Loyalton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Plumas Charter will head out on the road to square off against Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Loyalton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paradise Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Adventist Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
