After five games on the road, Sonora is heading back home. They will take on the Summerville Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sonora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Sonora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Bullfrogs, but they still walked away with a 33-27 win.
Taylor Faught continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Adeline Hanson, who scored seven points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, Summerville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell to Amador 27-21. The matchup was a 12-12 toss-up at halftime, but Summerville couldn't quite close it out.
Sonora now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Summerville, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Everything went Sonora's way against the Bears in their previous matchup two weeks ago as the Wildcats made off with a 39-19 win. Will Sonora repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
