It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-20, which was the final score in North Star's's tilt against Indiana on Saturday. North Star was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
Despite the loss, North Star had strong showings from Abby Barnick, who scored 10 points, and Maddie Kimmel, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals. Barnick scored a full 50% of North Star's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
This is the second loss in a row for North Star and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Indiana, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Star will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Ferndale at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Indiana, they will face off against Greater Latrobe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
