Softball Recap: Washington Has No Trouble Against Douglass

Washington not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5, 2024 (when they won 16-5). Everything went their way against the Douglass Astros as they made off with an 11-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Astros: they've now won seven in a row.

Washington let Aaliyah Reynolds and Maukayla Bell run wild. Reynolds got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Bell got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs Bell has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quindejah Cofer, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Washington back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Washington will square off against South Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Douglass, they will take on Tri-Cities at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
