The Franklin Knights lost to the Maplewood Tigers back in January of 2023, but the Franklin Knights didn't allow the Maplewood Tigers the same satisfaction on Monday. Franklin took down Maplewood 47-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katie Boal, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Boal is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Halle Curry was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Franklin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Maplewood, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Franklin will head out on the road to square off against Conneaut Area at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maplewood, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cochranton at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Cochranton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
