Lyme Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the DeRuyter Rockets a 4-0 shutout.

The win got Lyme Central back to even at 4-4. As for DeRuyter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

As of now, neither Lyme Central nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
