The team relied heavily on Noah Smith, who went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Oathen Atkinson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grace Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bainbridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let Miller County get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday.
Not much got past Parker Landrum, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Miller County off the board. Landrum also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bainbridge is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Benji Dollar was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Luke Griffin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Grace Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Bainbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season.
Bainbridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grace Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Bainbridge, though, as they've only averaged .212. Will they be able to contain Grace Christian Academy's hitters?
