Alamogordo is 0-4 against Hobbs since November of 2015 but things could change  on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to  square off against the Eagles  at 7:00  p.m. Hobbs took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Alamogordo, who comes in off a win.
Alamogordo took a loss when they played away from home  two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  34-14 margin over Organ Mountain. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

It was another big night for  Nathanael Best, who rushed for 346 yards and two  TDs while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 37 yards and a pair of  touchdowns. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 145  rushing yards per game.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alamogordo was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 477  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Alamogordo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Damien Moreno.
Meanwhile, Hobbs faced Las Cruces in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles were  outmatched by the Bulldawgs and fell  52-13. The  matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Alamogordo will have to contain  Junior Medrano as he made an impact in Hobbs' last game. He rushed for 176 yards and one  score while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 205 yards and one  TD. Medrano's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. 118 of  Medrano's passing yards were hauled in by Braddock Beaty, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 Hobbs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Alamogordo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Friday's  game will pit two  of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Best and  Medrano. Best just won't slow down this season and  has thrown 5 touchdowns (and  and only 1 pick) while averaging 45.6 passing yards per game. Medrano has been a dominant force too and  has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 168.4 passing yards per game.
 Alamogordo was dealt a bruising  49-21 loss at the hands of Hobbs in their previous meeting  back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  the Eagles'  Shamus Wright, who rushed for 188 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry.
