In what's become a running theme this season, Masterman gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to MAST Charter II for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-25 victory at home. Masterman's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Masterman's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sophia Brunelli, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, and Jocelyn Goldstein, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Goldstein has scored at least a third of Masterman's points. Shahkzoda Ilhomova was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Overbrook was the victim of a rough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Science Leadership Academy on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Overbrook in their matchups with Science Leadership Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Masterman's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Overbrook, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
