Piner has struggled against Elsie Allen recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Piner still got an impressive performance from Julia Almaraz , who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Almaraz scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Ross, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds.
Piner's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Elsie Allen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
