The Menlo School Knights were the  44-35 winner over the Menlo-Atherton Bears when they last played one another  back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Menlo School took a   41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Menlo-Atherton.
 Despite the loss, Menlo School still got an impressive performance from   Arthi Abhyanker, who  scored 13 points along with seven  rebounds.  Ava Allen was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with four  steals.
 Menlo School's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 5-4. As for Menlo-Atherton, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Menlo School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vanden at 11:30  a.m.  on January 6, 2024. Menlo-Atherton is on the road again  on Thursday and play against Leland at 4:30  p.m.  on December 28th. Leland is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last four games.
