The Christian Brothers Falcons can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-36 victory over Sahuaro.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Brothers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aleyah Harmon, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Olivia Novi, who scored 17 points.
Sahuaro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cassandra Coolidge, who scored 15 points. Coolidge scored a full 41.7% of Sahuaro's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Christian Brothers' victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sahuaro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-5.
Christian Brothers and Rio Americano will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rio Americano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 949th, while Christian Brothers is ranked 130th). Sahuaro will be staying on the road on January 8th to face off against Flowing Wells at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
