After flying high against the Ramona Bulldogs last Friday, the Fallbrook Warriors came back down to earth. Fallbrook took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olympian on Monday. If Fallbrook hoped to take revenge for the 46-44 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Fallbrook lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Nordeen, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds. Nordeen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Janice Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Fallbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Olympian, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fallbrook will take on Valley Center at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley Center will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 902nd, while Fallbrook is ranked 325th). As for Olympian, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:30 p.m.
