The Bishop Canevin Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with an 80-69 win over Farrell. The win was familiar territory for Bishop Canevin who now have four in a row.
Despite the loss, Farrell still got an impressive performance from Julius Phillips Jr, who scored 28 points. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. Dontaye Bell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Bishop Canevin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Farrell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Canevin and Eden Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Eden Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Farrell, they will be playing at home against Mercer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mercer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Farrell likes a good challenge.
