Oropeza  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and not a single walk), while  Siordia  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.  On the hitting side,  Rigoberto Baltazar and  Jesse Anguiano did most of the damage at the plate:  Baltazar  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double, while  Anguiano  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Luis Melendez was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Burroughs got themselves on the board against Canyon on Tuesday, but Canyon never followed suit. They blew past the Cowboys 13-0. Considering the Bears have won eight matchups by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Burroughs' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Bell, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
