The Elite Eagles will square off against the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Elite is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight games dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Mt. Diablo, falling 13-5.
Jaidyn Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Toulon Thurston, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mare Island Tech Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Kennedy get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory.
Noel Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Mare Island Tech Academy got a big performance out of Dedrick Vanloo, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Ahndrei Agsunod was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Elite's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mare Island Tech Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Everything went Elite's way against Mare Island Tech Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Elite made off with a 13-0 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Griffins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
