The St. Bernard's Crusaders had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over Arcata. 52 seems to be a good number for St. Bernard's as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Laila Florvilus was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Shanahan, who scored 13 points.
St. Bernard's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for Arcata, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.
