The Leigh Longhorns will challenge the Willow Glen Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leigh's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Willow Glen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Saturday, Leigh beat Bret Harte 9-4.
Cooper Low made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

Back at the plate, Leigh let Justin Jeong and Michael Mogannam run wild. Jeong scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Mogannam scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Willow Glen was able to grind out a solid victory over Piedmont Hills on Saturday, taking the game 8-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Tyson Paganini looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaiden Pan, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Haas Perry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Willow Glen pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Leigh, their record now sits at 12-2.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leigh hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. However, it's not like Willow Glen struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Leigh beat Willow Glen 3-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
