The Wolfe County Wolves pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perry County Central. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on January 8th (64), Wolfe County still had to take the loss.
Wolfe County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Creech, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Oliver, who scored 17 points.
Wolfe County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Perry County Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Wolfe County will head out on the road to face off against Jackson City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson City is on a five-game streak of home losses, Wolfe County a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Perry County Central will take on Knott County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
