The Towanda Black Knights won the last time they faced the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers, and things went their way on Monday too. Towanda came out on top in a nail-biter against North Penn-Mansfield and snuck past 37-35.
Despite the loss, North Penn-Mansfield saw an underclassman step up: Kameron Lightner dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elaina Shaw, who scored seven points along with three steals.
The victory got Towanda back to even at 7-7. As for North Penn-Mansfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.
Towanda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Penn-Mansfield, they will head out on the road to square off against Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Troy will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something North Penn-Mansfield surely won't give up without a fight.
