Biggs is a perfect 4-0 against Weed since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Cougars at 2:00 p.m. Biggs will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Biggs barely beat Fortuna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 13-2 victory on Tuesday. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Brayden Martin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaiden Bandy, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dennis Dewhurst, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Biggs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Weed, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Anderson on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-2 win. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Braeden Cordes and Jett Marshall were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cordes struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Marshall pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Weed is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-4 otherwise. At the plate, Cordes got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Marshall went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Jackson Keen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Weed's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Weed now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Biggs, their record now sits at 8-2.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Biggs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .402. However, it's not like Weed struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Biggs' way against Weed in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Biggs made off with a 16-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
