Samueli Academy entered their tilt with Vista Meridian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Samueli Academy breezed by Vista Meridian at home to the tune of 49-4. Samueli Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 31 points or more this season.
Samueli Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kennedy Cortez, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds, and Genavivie Medrano, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. The match was Cortez's third in a row with at least ten points. Joselyn Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Bethel Baptist didn't have quite enough to beat Artesia last Tuesday and fell 2-0.
Samueli Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bethel Baptist, they now have a losing record at 0-1-1.
