Pflugerville Connally got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryland Reeves out in front who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which Reeves has scored at least a third of Pflugerville Connally's points. Makrista Dolphus was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on ten points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals.
Despite the defeat, Cedar Creek saw an underclassman step up: Mackenzy Roberts scored six points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Roberts pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Pflugerville Connally's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Cedar Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Pflugerville Connally will be playing in front of their home fans against Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bastrop is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Cedar Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Elgin is ranked 958th, while Cedar Creek is ranked 972nd).
