The Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) basketball crushed the host Cedar Creek Eagles (Cedar Creek, TX), 57-17 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Bears go into the 5A Region III District 23 test with a 7-13 record. In their last test, Bastrop was trounced by East View (Georgetown, TX), 47-29, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Elgin for a 5A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, January 9. Cedar Creek will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 68-14 league loss to Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-17.
