Berthoud came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Roosevelt Roughriders. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Roughriders back in September, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Madelyn Kuntz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carys McGuinn, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Berthoud was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted a batting average of .323.

Berthoud's record is now 13-8. As for Roosevelt, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7.

Berthoud wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-1 victory against Mountain View on the 6th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Niwot on the 3rd.
