In other batting news, Kaden Perkins and Clay Wagner stepped up to the plate in a big way. Perkins went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Wagner went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. West Union dropped their record down to 3-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Chesapeake, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
West Union's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Chesapeake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312.
