The Franklin Knights will head out on the road to take on the Conneaut Area Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
Last Monday, Franklin didn't have too much trouble with Maplewood at home as they won 47-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Franklin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Katie Boal out in front who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Boal is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Halle Curry, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Conneaut Area suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 63-33 loss at the hands of Wilmington.
Franklin pushed their record up to 8-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Conneaut Area, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Franklin came up short against Conneaut Area in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 46-34. Can Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
