The Grant Pacers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cordova 72-14 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-3.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asia Washington, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Washington's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalaysia Clements, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Grant's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Cordova, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant will face off against Rio Americano at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cordova will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th.
