Delta and Fortune Early College squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Delta had to settle for second. They fell 39-26 to the Fortune Early College Panthers. The Saints' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoey Velasquez, who posted four points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayren Rapp, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Heaven Graves continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fortune Early College, putting up 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Graves has scored at least a third of Fortune Early College's points. Another player making a difference was Zoe Rocha, who put up 11 points.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Fortune Early College, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fortune Early College, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-41 loss against Bret Harte on the 25th.
