For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Mediapolis and Pekin have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mediapolis' victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Pekin, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mediapolis will take on West Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pekin, they will venture away from home to square off against Wapello at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
