The Frontier Titans will face off against the St. Joseph Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Frontier barely beat Hanford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Frontier beat Hanford on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won three games in a row.
Frontier got a great performance from Mac Corpas as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon McDonald, who fired off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Machado, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Frontier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanford only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Joseph, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Ridgeview get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Saturday. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
Niko Peinado was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Erik Furness was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Frontier's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.6 runs. As for St. Joseph, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Frontier skirted past St. Joseph 4-3 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Frontier have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Joseph turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
