Softball Recap: Moberly Has No Trouble Against Fulton

Moberly hadn't done well against Fulton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Spartans blew past the Hornets 10-1. Considering the Spartans have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Moberly has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Fulton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Moberly will venture away from home to challenge Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fulton, they will host Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
