The Del Lago Academy Firebirds will head out on the road to face off against the Escondido Charter White Tigers at 5:15 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Del Lago Academy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Orange Glen last Tuesday. That's two games straight that Del Lago Academy has won by exactly one goal.
In what's become a running theme this season, Escondido Charter gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They never let Calvin Christian onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Teagen Hustead had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Escondido Charter.
Del Lago Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Escondido Charter, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
