The Harry S. Truman Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the MAST Community Charter Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harry S. Truman is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 19-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Harry S. Truman was beaten by Bensalem 67-38. While losing is never fun, Harry S. Truman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Bensalem is ranked 34th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brianna Philemond, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, MAST Community Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pope John Paul II.
Like Harry S. Truman, MAST Community Charter lost despite seeing results from several players. Rylie Fitzsimmons led the charge by scoring eight points along with 14 rebounds and five steals. Fitzsimmons has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tierney Hamilton, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Harry S. Truman's record is now 1-18. As for MAST Community Charter, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
Harry S. Truman was taken down by MAST Community Charter 57-30 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harry S. Truman was down 37-10.
