Lamar County never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Putnam County War Eagles. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Lamar County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Putnam County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
