Campbell Hall was the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over Los Angeles CES. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Campbell Hall has posted since December 6, 2023.
Campbell Hall's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cristina Sepulveda, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Zion Belcher-Arill was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Los Angeles CES lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sincere Aubrey, who scored 25 points. That's the first time this season that Aubrey scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Katie Chiba, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Campbell Hall's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. As for Los Angeles CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell Hall will challenge St. Mary's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Campbell Hall in California (St. Mary's Academy is ranked 78th, while Campbell Hall is ranked 425th). As for Los Angeles CES, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairfax at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfax is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
