Softball Recap: Williamsburg Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

After losing to Davenport North the last time they met, Williamsburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Wildcats on Saturday. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.

Williamsburg has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 24-7 record this season. As for Davenport North, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Coming up, Williamsburg will head out to face off against Clear Creek-Amana at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 3, the Clippers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Davenport North, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-5 loss against West Liberty on the 28th.
