Apple Valley is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Sultana is on a nine-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Sun Devils will host the Sultans at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Apple Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Apple Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Burroughs with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Sun Devils haven't had any issues with the Burros recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Ashton Armijo looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Ethyn Doyle was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Aril Jackson was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Sultana beat Hesperia 4-1 on Thursday.
Brody Sappington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on eight hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Gamez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Eric Ruiz, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Apple Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Sultana, their win bumped their record up to 19-2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Apple Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sultana struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Apple Valley suffered a grim 12-6 defeat to Sultana in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Sun Devils have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
