The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 61-12 win over Millennium. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for Cornerstone Charter this season.
D'Trevion Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds. Harris is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tristan Cole, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Millennium struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Cornerstone Charter posted nine assists.
Cornerstone Charter's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Millennium, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face College Prep & Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Millennium, they will face off against Bethany at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium is facing Bethany at the right time seeing as Bethany is stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
